| is a former Maine Times poetry editor and early Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance director, with two Maine Art Commission grants, hosting Maine Literature Daily, Maine Poetry, the Maine Literary Hall of Honors, internet literary resources. He has been active in the Maine literary scene for many years, published two books and two chapbooks, with a dramatic trilogy staged in Boston by the Atma Theater, and has published in literary journals in-and-out of state. He has read at Bates College, the Maine Festival, New Years' Eve Portland, etc. His poetry is influenced by the experiments of modern painting, modern classical music and jazz. He is a retired paper mill worker and labor union official who has written the only 20th century short stories from that background. He promotes the value of Maine literature and is a member of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, espousing conservation of nature as it is now under seige here as just as it was in the 19th Century. |
